Fab Lab Carnegie Science Center: Mentors in the Making
Mentors in the Making The Mentors in the Making program is a 1:1 mentoring program at BNY Fab Lab Carnegie Science Center for youth ages 14-18 from low-income families in the Pittsburgh area.  The program was started in 2017 because, although the Mobile Fab Lab brings digital fabrication experiences to hundreds of students in their classrooms, there was a need for students to explore “making” inside the Fab Lab space

AIU Trainings: Pop-Up PLNs (Professional Learning Networks) are engaging, FREE virtual opportunities to explore new technologies and teaching practices while connecting with other educators. Sessions are 45-minutes, held at 11 am and 3 pm each day, and open to all educators.

Carnegie Science Center to Launch Teaching Excellence Academy
Workshops focus on best practices in STEM education PITTSBURGH, Aug. 29, 2016 — Carnegie Science Center will launch its inaugural Teaching Excellence Academy in the fall of 2016. The Teaching Excellence Academy is open to any teachers in the region with an interest in strengthening their STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) pedagogy skills. Several workshops are available for parents as well.
